OWLS HEAD — Margaret B. Borgerson Barnes, 89, journeyed to her Heavenly home July 23, 2013. Until then she resided at the Methodist Conference Center in Rockland.

Margaret, beloved daughter of Bertha L. and Allan B. Borgerson, was born in their Owls Head home Sept. 10, 1923. She is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Beryl B. Borgerson; and an infant brother, Henry B.

Margaret was the proud mother of Karen B. (Kevin) Gillette pf Depauville, N.Y., Paul C. Barnes of Washington; and Mark A. Barnes and Philip C. (Kerry) Barnes, both of Owls Head.

Margaret doted on her nine grandchildren, Maggie H. (Jon) Self, Jason G. and Benjamin (Mary Ann) Hackbarth, Aaron (Brittany) Gillette, Alexander, Andrew and Allan Barnes, and Lindsay and Kelsey Barnes.

Margaret was again blessed with five great-grandchildren, Ryan Self, Jocelyn and Tristan Bosworth-Hackbarth, and Achilles and Guias Gillette.

The service will be held Tuesday, July 30, at 4 p.m., at Owls Head Baptist Church on South Shore Drive in Owls Head. A gathering will be held following the service at the Owls Head Community Building, with everyone invited to attend.
