Maine State Police Troop D beat

    AUGUSTA — Maine State Police Troop D reported the following activity June 17 - July 6. Troop D is responsible for Maine's Midcoast, including Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Waldo, and Knox counties, the southern half of Kennebec County and part of northern Cumberland County. The troop also patrols Interstate 295, from Brunswick to Gardiner. The troop's complement includes a lieutenant, three sergeants, 25 troopers and a secretary. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

    June 17 (late entry)

    Trooper Seth Allen stopped Andre Beaudoin, 61, in Gardiner for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker and he was issued a summons for the offense.

    June 23

    Trooper Mark Ferreira arrested Stacey Ricker, 30, of Augusta, on a warrant. Ricker allegedly stole more than $100 in gasoline from Damon's Quick Stop in Chelsea during a series of gas drive offs. Ricker was also charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating conditions of release.

    Trooper Nicolas Gleeson stopped a vehicle on Route 201 in Gardiner for displaying an expired registration. Denis Touchette, 41, of Litchfield, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with expired registration over 150 days.

    Trooper Corey Smith stopped a vehicle in Stockton Springs on Route 1 for not have an inspection decal. Aaron Krupka, 41, of Belfast, was found to have moved to Maine 90-plus days ago and failed to obtain a Maine driver's license. Krupka was issued a summons for failure to obtain a Maine license and a summons for the inspection sticker violation.

    Trooper Smith investigated vandalism to a front end loader parked in Monroe. The machine was tampered with and dirt was found in oil ports. Evidence was collected and the investigation continues.

    June 24

    Trooper James Moore took a report in Swanville where the complainant stated that her aunt dragged her down the road with her van. The allegation was not substantiated, but during the course of the investigation Trooper Moore discovered that Andrea Walsh, 42, had a suspended driver's license and she was issued a summons for operating after habitual offender revocation.

    Trooper Erin Ball responded to a report of bad checks being passed at Fuller's Market in West Gardiner. Investigation continues.

    Trooper Ball took a complaint of identity theft out of Litchfield. Investigation is ongoing.

    June 25

    Trooper Ferreira stopped Amanda Wallace, 23, of Topsham, for speeding on I-295 in Gardiner. Wallace was found to be in possession of a marijuana pipe and she was issued a summons for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

    June 27

    Trooper Thomas Bureau stopped Scott Philbrook, 41, for a speed violation on Route 141 in Swanville. Philbrook was ultimately issued summonses for attaching false plates and operating after suspension.

    Trooper Sarah Ferland stopped a motorcycle for speeding on Loggin Road in Frankfort. Nicholas Adams, 9, of Frankfort, was ultimately issued a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

    Trooper Corey Smith investigated a theft in Monroe.

    Troopers Smith, Donald Webber and Ferland responded to Swanville for a domestic disturbance.

    June 28

    Trooper Smith issued a summons to Beth Kelley, 44, of Hampden, for harassment.

    Troopers Smith and Ferland responded to Winterport for the report of an assault.

    Trooper Allen arrested Matthew Kay, 37, in Farmingdale on four outstanding warrants.

    Trooper Allen stopped Joshua Tanner, 26, on I-295 in Richmond for displaying an expired registration on his motorcycle. Tanner was issued summonses for operating after suspension and operating without a license.

    Trooper Niles Krech stopped a vehicle on I-295 for a loud exhaust. Following investigation Christopher Veilleux, 25, was arrested for operating after habitual offender revocation.

    Trooper Krech stopped Vincent Alderuccio, 25, for following the vehicle in front of him too closely on I-295. Alderuccio was issued a summons for operating after suspension.

    June 29

    Trooper Krech stopped a vehicle traveling 90 mph on I-295 in Bowdoinham. Kevin Mobley, 35, of Virginia, was suspended in the state of Maine and had a warrant for allegedly operating under the influence from 2002. Mobley was arrested and brought to Two Bridges jail without incident.

    Trooper Gleeson stopped a vehicle on I-295 in Richmond for displaying an expired registration. Alice Detora, 50, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with expired registration over 150 days.

    Trooper Gleeson stopped a vehicle on I-295 in Richmond for displaying an expired registration. Tobias Koffman, 40, of Orono, was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with expired registration over 150 days.

    Trooper Ferreira stopped a vehicle on Route 126 in Gardiner after a passenger threw litter from the vehicle. Sarah Rivers, 24, of Augusta, had a warrant for her arrest and was on bail conditions. Rivers was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol and marijuana. Rivers was arrested on the warrant and issued a summons for violation conditions of release. Trooper Kyle Pelletier assisted with the traffic stop.

    June 30

    Trooper Rogers stopped James Trepanier, 42, on Main Street in Bowdoin for a defective taillight. A vehicle search revealed two baggies of marijuana. Both Trepanier and passenger Cory Letoile, 44, were issued summonses for possession of a useable amount of marijuana.

    Trooper Christopher Rogers stopped Jennifer Burch, 36, on Water Street in Hallowell for failing to stop at a stop sign. Investigation revealed her license was under suspension and she was issued a summons for the offense. Burch's passenger, James Coolidge, 32, was in violation of the Sex Offender Registry Act. Coolidge was arrested and charged with sex offender registry violation.

    Trooper Desiree Wuthenow, with assistance from Trooper Jeremiah Wesbrock and the Waldo County Sheriff's Office, was involved with a vehicle pursuit on Route 137 in Knox. The vehicle was stopped on Route 137 in Waldo and the operator Marcy Marriner, 32, showed signs of impairment. Marriner was issued summonses for operating under the influence, driving to endanger, failure to stop, attaching false plates and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

    Trooper Pelletier stopped William Grondin, 38, on Maine Avenue in Farmingdale to investigate a suspicious looking inspection sticker. Grondin admitted to purchasing it for $100 and he was issued a summons for the offense.

    Trooper Pelletier stopped Eileen Cloonan, 40, on Huntington Hill Road in Litchfield for operating a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. Cloonan was issued a summons for the offense.

    July 1

    Trooper Pelletier investigated a reported burglary at Pine Tree Fence Co. in Litchfield. The investigation continues.

    Trooper Wuthenow received a report of a sex offense that occurred in Winterport. The case was forwarded to the Major Crimes Unit-North and an investigation with the Waldo County Sheriff's Office is pending.

    July 2

    While at a traffic stop on I-295 in Richmond, Trooper Moore was passed by a vehicle at a high rate of speed that did not change lanes and when it passed. Trooper Moore pursued the vehicle and issued summonses to the driver, Tyler Levasque, 25, of Portland, for speeding and improperly passing an emergency vehicle.

    Trooper Rogers stopped Brandon Kroot, 33, on Water Street in Randolph for texting while driving and a seatbelt violation. A vehicle search was conducted, resulting in the discovery of one suboxone strip, marijuana and hypodermic needles. Kroot was issued summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, the seatbelt violation and texting while driving.

    July 3

    Troopers Erin Ball, Niles Krech and Gleeson responded to the report of a female being stopped from leaving the property by her husband's family. The report also included the possibility of a weapon on the scene in Farmingdale. Following investigation, there was no indication that the female was being intimidated in any way.

    Trooper Webber received a report of two vehicle burglaries in the area of the Mount Waldo quarry in Frankfort. Numerous items were stolen and the investigation is ongoing.

    July 4

    Troopers Webber and Smith responded to Dickey Hill Road in Monroe for the report of an assault. Following investigation, Joseph Tripp, 22, of Monroe, was issued a summons for assault and released.

    Troopers Robinson and Bureau responded to a late report of an assault in Frankfort. It was determined that Jacob McIntire, 23, had assaulted his girlfriend and he was arrested, charged with: domestic violence assault, terrorizing, criminal mischief, criminal attempt (escape), possession of a useable amount of marijuana, sale and use of drug paraphernalia and violating conditions of release. Mcintire was transported to Waldo County Jail.

    Troopers Ball, Gleeson, Krech and Sergeant Mills responded to a report of a physical altercation which left one man bleeding in Farmingdale. Upon arrival, 15 grams of crack cocaine was discovered at the sight of the altercation. Following investigation, homeowner Toby Pinkham, 24, was arrested and charged with multiple drug charges, including pending trafficking charges.

    July 5

    Troopers Ball and Gleeson responded to a 911 hang-up where a female caller asked for help in Litchfield. Trooper Ball was able to determine that while both parties had been drinking, no assault had occurred. Both parties decided they would sleep off the alcohol in different rooms.

    Trooper Ball investigated an accidental gun discharge at Birches Campground in Litchfield that occurred on July 4. No injuries were reported and no one wanted to press charges. Birches Campground will review the situation and their policies.

    Trooper Ball stopped David Shea, 58, on Route 126 in Litchfield for speeding. Shea was ultimately issued a summons for possession of a useable amount of marijuana.

    Trooper Rogers stopped Brendan Landry, 19, on Town Farm Road in Monmouth after observing neither he, nor his passenger were wearing seatbelts. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and a bottle of vodka. Landry took ownership of the items and he was issued summonses for possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of a useable amount of marijuana.

    July 6

    Trooper Rogers stopped a vehicle on I-295 in Bowdoinham for speeding. Passenger Brenton Rioux, 29, was ultimately issued a summons for possession of a useable amount of marijuana.

    Trooper Rogers stopped Matthew Trombley, 26, on I-295 in Bowdoinham for speeding 85 mph in a 70 mph zone. Following investigation, Trombley was issued summonses for operating after suspension, operating a defective motor vehicle, speeding and failing to wear his seatbelt. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

    Sergeant Hood investigated a suspected impaired driver leaving Knights Pond in Northport. Cameron Philbrook, 30, was found to be in violation of his bail conditions by consuming alcohol and he was arrested and taken to Waldo County jail.
