Maine State Police search for Monroe man in connection with alleged domestic violence assault

    Maine State Police are searching for a Monroe man in relation to an alleged domestic violence incident in the early hours of Jan. 1, according to a post from the agency’s Facebook page.  

    An arrest warrant has been issued for Brian M. Hybers, 27, for felony domestic violence assault and aggravated assault as a result of the incident, which occurred on Ellis Road in Monroe.

    The victim required hospitalization for non-life-threatening injuries following the alleged assault. 

    Hybers reportedly fled the area prior to police arrival.

    Law enforcement is asking anyone with information about Hybers’ whereabouts to contact the Maine State Police in Augusta at 207-624-7076. Any information should be forwarded to Trooper Thomas Bureau.
