'A Maine Retrospective: The Art of Pine Tree Society Holiday Cards' exhibit during Bright Night Bath
BATH — On Friday, December 5, Pine Tree Society presents “A Maine Retrospective: The Art of Pine Tree Society Holiday Cards” exhibition at Union + Co. This exhibition is part of Bright Night Bath coordinated by Main Street Bath.
2026 marks Pine Tree Society’s significant 90 year anniversary milestone and this extensive collection of Maine art dates back to the early 1960s, covering a span of more than 60 years. These paintings by Maine artists showcase a variety of mediums and styles and are a visual time capsule of Maine in the winter, from country scenes to woods and fields to the rockbound coast and iconic lighthouses.
The art featured in this show has raised more than $3 million dollars to support Maine people with disabilities. One hundred percent of proceeds from annual holiday card sales support Pine Tree Society’s programs.
On view will be over 50 paintings and artists Sandy Crabtree, from Bath, and Elaine Reed, from Wiscasset, will be in attendance.
