‘a sparkling drive-through experience’

Sat, 12/12/2020 - 3:00pm

THOMASTON — Atop the hill overlooking Routes 1 and 131 in Thomaston, Montpelier, home to the General Henry Knox Museum, will be decked out in pine, evergreen and lights this holiday season.

“We invite families to join their friends and neighbors, beginning at dusk each night, for a sparkling drive-through experience beginning December 5, 2020 and running through January 9, 2021,” said the Museum, in a news release.

In lieu of Knox Museum’s annual Holiday Open House, where visitors are invited inside to view the beautifully decorated rooms, this outdoor display of lighted trees, garland, and candles will provide a complementary bookend to Thomaston’s mall of illuminated trees on the opposite end of town,” according to the release.

“Enjoy the experience from the warmth of your car and come back many times throughout the holiday season,” said the Museum. “We look forward to welcoming you back inside the Museum when it is safe to do so. Happy Holidays from all of us at the General Henry Knox Museum!”

The Knox Museum is located at 30 High Street in Thomaston, Maine.
