Julie is at peace, and we are buoyed by the love and kindness she brought out in all of us

As the steering committee of the “Join in for Julie” fundraising dinner and auction benefiting Julie Drinkwater Landwehr and family, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteered, donated, and attended our event on Sunday, January 19th at the Rockland Elks Club. By all accounts, the day exceeded our wildest expectations.

The event was engineered by a volunteer team of nearly 50 friends and family. Dozens of businesses and individuals donated soups, chowders, chilis, bread, salads, desserts, and beverages for the meal. There were at least 150 businesses and individuals that donated treasures to our various auctions and raffle tables. And most impressive of all, more than 500 people attended the dinner and auction - family and friends from all facets of Julie’s life, and even people who didn't know her directly, who felt compelled to contribute to the power of our small but mighty community.

With heavy hearts, we now mourn the loss of our courageous friend, who passed away Tuesday morning, January 28th, at home surrounded by her family. Julie is at peace, and we are buoyed by the love and kindness that she brought out in all of us.

We ask that you continue to direct positive energy toward her family. They appreciate our loving thoughts, prayers and support more than we could ever know.

Sincerely,

Bobbi Oxton
