Islesboro Police beat: Hunting details, alarms, property checks
ISLESBORO — The Islesboro Police Department reported the following activity for Oct. 19 to Nov. 8, 2015. An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Oct. 19
· Public Safety Director Fred Porter received a report of an alarm on Pendleton Point Road; the alarm was cancelled by the homeowner/caretaker.
Oct. 20
· Porter responded to an alarm on Pendleton Point Road; after further investigation the complaint was deemed to be unfounded.
Oct. 22
· Porter received a report of an alarm on Aldrich Road; the alarm was cancelled by the homeowner/caretaker
Oct. 23
· Porter ran a background check for job applicants at the Public Safety Office.
· Porter responded to a harassment complaint on Meadow Pond Road; under investigation.
· Porter received a criminal trespass complaint on Mill Creek Road; upon further investigation the complaint was deemed to be unfounded.
Oct. 24
· Porter conducted a hunting detail on Main Road and Meadow Pond Road; no violations.
· Porter conducted property checks on Pendleton Point Road; all properties were found to be secure.
· Porter conducted a shellfish detail on Main Road; one recreational digger checked; no violations.
Oct. 25
· Porter responded to a parking problem on Ferry Road; two warnings issued.
Oct. 29
· Porter responded to a traffic hazard on Main Road; the officer was able to resolve the complaint.
· Porter responded to a prowler complaint on East Shore Drive.
Oct. 31
· Porter conducted a shellfish detail on Hutchins Island and Mill Dam; no violations.
· Porter responded to a theft complaint on Jennys Lane; under investigation.
· Porter received a report of an alarm on Otter Creek Lane; resolved by the homeowner/caretaker.
· Porter received a report of gunshots on Meadow Pond Road.
· Porter conducted a fish and game detail on Meadow Pond Road, based on the information from the earlier gunshot complaint.
Nov. 3
· Porter conducted a house check on Ellis Lane.
· Porter conducted a house check on Ellis Lane; property secure.
Nov. 4
· Porter responded to an alarm on Shipyard Point Road; the alarm was unfounded.
Nov. 6
· Porter responded to a motor vehicle complaint on Alumni Drive.
Nov. 7
· Porter conducted house checks on Lee Drive, Bay Shore Lane and Billy Shore Drive; all properties were found to be secure.
· Porter conducted a shellfish detail on Hutchins Island, Parkers Cove, Mill Dam; no violations.
