Islesboro holding vaccination clinic April 12

    ISLESBORO — The next scheduled vaccination clinic for Islesboro residents will be Monday, April 12 at the island’s Health Center.

    All adults over 18 are eligible for the type of vaccine the facility can safely get delivered to the island.

    The Vaccine Clinic will be expanded to accommodate up to 300 persons. Registered persons will be contacted with an appointment time in order of date registration form is submitted.

    Everyone is urged to get registered and vaccinated. Register on the town covid website: townofislesboro.com/covid19 or fill in a registration form available on the Town Office porch. Register now and you will be called to schedule your appointment for the next available opening.

    Islanders between the ages of 16 to 18 are encouraged to register with mainland clinics and pharmacies who are administering Pfizer vaccines, which are the only approved vaccine for those aged 16 and up. The Islesboro Clinic cannot offer these vaccines due to cold storage limitations. See the state’s website maine.gov/covid19 to find a list of mainland vaccination providers.

    The next following vaccine clinic will be held Monday, May 10. There are multiple opportunities to schedule a vaccine on the mainland as well.
