I voted for Lydia Crafts and hope you will, too

My name is Chloe Maxmin. I am the outgoing State Senator for District 13, which includes all of Lincoln County (except for Dresden) plus the towns of Washington and Windsor.

I write today in enthusiastic support of re-electing Representative Lydia Crafts for House District 46, which includes the towns of Bristol, Damariscotta, Monhegan, Newcastle, and Nobleboro.

One of the greatest honors of my service has been working with Rep. Crafts. Not only is she exceedingly kind and generous to her colleagues, regardless of political affiliation. She fights hard for what she believes in. She does not conform to a way of thinking simply because someone says so. She fights for what is right. To many, that sounds like a cliche. It has sounded like a cliche to me, in the past. But for Rep. Crafts, it's the honest truth.

I worked with Rep. Crafts on many bills, but one of the most powerful was the effort to expand Maine's Good Samaritan Law. In our community and many around the state, individuals at the scene of an overdose were afraid to call 911 for fear of criminal prosecution. Because of Rep. Craft's work, we passed the strongest Good Samaritan Law in the country to make it safe to call 911 when there is an overdose. It will save lives. Rep. Crafts brought her brilliant political mind and deeply personal experience to this effort. Because of her, many Legislators listened when otherwise they turned away.

Please vote for Rep. Crafts to send her back to Augusta. We depend on her. We need her--for drug reform and all the issues impacting our community.

I voted for Lydia Crafts. I hope you will, too.
