Happy Wanderers to hike Haystack Mountain, May 1
LIBERTY — Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Maine Health’s Community Health program for a Happy Wanderers Hike, Thursday, May 1, at 10 a.m., at Haystack Mountain, in Liberty. All are welcome.
This hike explores a 1.1-mile loop trail with moderate elevation. Hiking boots and plenty of water are encouraged.
Haystack Mountain is owned and cared for by Midcoast Conservancy.
Directions: From Rt. 3 between South China and Belfast, take Rt. 220 south for 0.8 miles. Turn left at the sign for the Vena M. Roberts Memorial Ball Field. Park in the parking lot behind Walker Health Center in Liberty. The trailhead is at the far corner, past the ball field.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
Community Health programming is offered by PenBay Medical Center’s Community Health Improvement Team and is focused on preventing and reducing chronic disease and promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
