GSB edges Medomak 8th girls basketball

WALDOBORO — The Medomak eighth grade girls basketball team hosted Great Salt Bay in a regular season finale showdown.
After a hard-fought contest, Great Salt Bay collected a 35-34 victory.
Scoring for Medomak were Kylie Blake (one point), Eliza Luce (eight), Sara Nelson (four), Olivia Pelkey (14) and Haley Puchalski (seven).
Scoring for Great Salt Bay were Maddy Prokopius (one point), Annie Peaslee (five), Maya Cannon (13) and Kathryn McKenny (15).
“Through out the whole game our defense was great the girls worked so hard,” said Medomak coach Celia Philbrick. “We had the shots but they just did not fall for us.”
