Merryspring Nature Center will host Exploring Owl Pellets as part of its Free Family Fridays series on Friday, July 24, at 10 a.m.

"It is quite fascinating to find out what owls eat," said Merryspring, in a news release.

Participants will get the chance to find out in this program as they dissect an owl pellet and match the bones to a chart to see what the owl ate.

Participants will meet in the lower parking lot at Merryspring at 9:45 a.m. The program will take place in the Hexagon next to the gardens. All materials are supplied.

Preregistration is required for this event with limited space available. Guests may sign up by calling 207-236-2239 or by emailing info@merryspring.org. Admission is free to all. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Free Family Fridays take place at Merryspring on select July and August Fridays, at 10 a.m., and are co-sponsored by Allen Insurance & Financial, First National Bank, and Camden Riverhouse Hotel.
