Eugene Milliken, obituary
CAMDEN — Eugene Victor Milliken, 89, died Sept. 10, 2015, in South Paris. Born April 27, 1926, in Camden, he was the son of Charles and Glenora Hall Milliken, and the youngest of eight children, all of whom preceded him in death.
Gene married Ruth P. Robinson of Augusta in Randolph on Aug. 26, 1960. She died in 2007.
Gene was a lifelong resident of Camden and worked various jobs over the years, including at the Camden Shipyard, Seabright Mill, Knox Woolen Mill, Mt. Battie Mill, Camden Tanning Corporation and for Albert Chatfield. He worked for Howard Thomas and in his later years was a self-employed carpenter. Gene was also a member of the Searsmont Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his two children, Larry Milliken of Le Grand, Calif., and Vickie Milliken Foster of Ormond Beach, Fla. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Beverly A. Carver.
Private services and burial in the Mountain View Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
