MARSHFIELD, Mass. — Eileen D. (Desmond) Pieri, 97, of Marshfield, Mass., died Dec. 24, 2013.

Wife of the late Ormond L. Pieri. Loving mother of Gerald Pieri and his wife, Susan, of Marshfield, Mass., Robert Pieri of Camden, Ted Pieri and his wife, Lauren, of Camden, Desmond Pieri and his wife, Jules, of Lexington, Mass., and William Pieri and his wife, Lynn, of Needham, Mass. Beloved grandmother of 14, and great-grandmother of seven.

Eileen graduated from Mission High School in 1934. She was a homemaker, worked for the telephone company and was a clerk for the town of Norwood, Mass., until she retired in 1977.

She loved to travel and was an advanced bridge player. She was active in the 60 Plus Club and planning trips for the Council on the Aging.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Dec. 30, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St. in Marshfield, Mass. Funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Our lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Green Harbor, Mass. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 990 Lagrange St. in West Roxbury, Mass.
