Denise M. Pearse, obituary
WALDOBORO — Denise M. Pearse, 74, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, December 29, 2025 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
Born in Rockland, January 24, 1951, she was the daughter of Parker, Sr. and Pauline Cotton Mitchell. Denise grew up in Rockland before moving to Connecticut with her family. During her high school years, the family returned to Rockland.
For many years, Denise was employed with Hannaford where she became a shift leader. Denise became whole when she married the love of her life, Lawrence ‘Larry’ Pearse, on April 18, 1992.
Together they enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to drag-races. In February 2020, Denise and Larry moved to Florida where they enjoyed going for drives and exploring the area. Even after Larry’s passing, Denise enjoyed hosting her family at her home in Florida and continued the tradition of exploring.
Later in life Denise enjoyed completing diamond art projects, listening to Elvis, and watching stock-car racing, especially ‘funny cars’. Watching the Patriots was another favorite pastime.
She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Predeceased by her parents and her husband, Larry; Denise is survived by her children, Pauline “Polly’ Witham and her husband David of Waldoboro, Twyla Budd of Daytona Beach, Florida, Chuck Beeman and his wife Donna of Rockland; her grandchildren, Philip Witham and his wife Casandra of Lincolnville, Lauren Witham and her fiancé Dillon Dowling, Arianna Witham and her fiancé Auston Bilger all of Bucksport, Donald Beeman of Rockland, Alexandria Beeman, Willard Beeman both of Rockland, Amber Budd of Daytona Beach, Florida, Cheryl Pike and her husband Jacob of China; her great-grandchildren, Kayden, Benjyman and Sofyia Witham all of Lincolnville, Hunter Marr, Natasha Waters, Braelyn Waters all of Rockland, Karia Beeman of Texas, Chloe and Dillon Dowling, Jr. both of Bucksport, Carter, Landon, and Savanna Bilger of Bucksport; her brothers, Chip Mitchell and his wife Linda of Tennessee, Parker Mitchell, Jr. of Rockland, Stanley Tewksbury and his wife Jean of Waldoboro; as well as many niece, nephews and friends in Florida.
A graveside celebration of life will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Mt. View Cemetery, Camden.
