VINALHAVEN — Cora Jean (MacDonald) Webster, 76, passed away June 1, 2020 at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Born May 25, 1944 and raised at Vinalhaven, Maine, she was the daughter of Herbert and Charlotte York MacDonald.

Cora married her husband, Curtis Webster, on Vinalhaven, where she also raised her two children and helped run his plumbing business.

After moving away from the island, she always spoke very fondly of the island and her life there. To her, it was always called home. She also loved to knit and crochet and was an excellent cook.

Other than her parents and husband, Cora was predeceased by her sister, Betsy Alley; and two beloved nephews, Glenn and Cracker Alley.

She is survived by daughters Laurie Hutchinson and Phyllis Webster; grandchildren, Chelsea Webster of Medford, Massachusetts, Heather Craney and Shane Craney of Bangor, Corissa Craney of Bucksport, and Athena Hutchinson of Cushing; great-grandchildren, Isaac Craney and Gabriella Craney of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews.
