Consider voting Yes on Question 1 and help get a common sense Voter ID law on the books
Voter ID is on the ballot as Question 1 this November, and I am thrilled. One great thing about this issue has emerged; it is nonpartisan. Clearly, we all want safe secure elections.
While helping gather signatures to get this important measure on the ballot. I had a memorable interaction with a lady from Union. As a former Maine State legislator, this particular woman reached out to me often, and wenever agreed on a single issue. Ever. When I saw her reading the sign and approaching the table, I didn’t know what to think. I was pleased and shocked to hear her loudly exclaim,“Voter ID, that’s a no-brainer.” Then she quickly grabbed a pen on the table and added her name to the list of supporters.
Please be sure to consider voting “YES” on Question 1 and help get a common sense Voter ID law on the books.
As a word of caution, I have noticed some confusing lawn signs with inaccurate information. Once the measure is passed, absentee voting will still be allowed, and it can be requested online or in person. Opponents of voter ID are either misinformed or they are so worried the measure will pass that they are resorting to outright falsehoods.
Do your own research, and I am confident you will join the many thousands who want to secure our elections. Voteridforme.com is a reliable source of information.
