Cilla Bonnie to bring groove to Underground Lounge, Oct. 24
Event Date
Saturday, October 24, 2026 - 07:00 pm
BELFAST — The Underground Lounge, located at 17 Court Street in Belfast, will welcome bassist, singer, and songwriter Cilla Bonnie and her band on Saturday, Oct. 24. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music starts at 7 p.m.
"Cilla Bonnie’s soulful grooves and distinctive voice have built a devoted following over two decades of performing, touring, and recording," said an Underground Lounge news release. "Cilla works across roles: as a solo artist, she writes all her songs and arrangements, often performing in stripped-down formats (bass and vocal) or with a tight trio for full-band grooves. Her sound draws from R&B and soul influences while embracing structural rock dynamics — a blend that gives her music both intimacy and power. In performance, Cilla is known for bringing warmth and authenticity while laying down low-end grooves that get an entire room swaying. Her dedication to crafting honest, soulful music sets her apart."
Bonnie’s latest album, There for Me, was released in January of 2026. The album features bandmates Emmett Harrity on keys (Katie Matzell) and Chris Sweet on drums (Micromasse), both of whom will be joining Bonnie at the Underground Lounge. To hear her work, visit cillabonniemusic.com.
According to the news release, the October 24 performance at the Underground Lounge offers audiences the chance to experience the band in an intimate setting: close to the music and musicians for a genuine exchange. The Underground Lounge is a DIY, volunteer-led music series dedicated to bringing quality original performances to Belfast through the off season.
Admission is $10-$20 (cash only) at the door. Drinks and homemade snacks will be available by donation. Seasons tickets can be purchased ahead of time at tinyurl.com/43hb7kyx.
