ROCKPORT — Tony C. McKim, President and Chief Executive Officer of First National Bank and its parent company, The First Bancorp, has announced the appointment of Chad Place as Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer based in Rockport.

A Maine native, Place graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington and previously worked the past 15 years for another Maine-based financial institution. Outside of the bank, Place currently is an active member of the Northport Golf Club and Vice President of the James C. Place Memorial Fund. He enjoys spending time at his family’s camp, golfing and cheering on his daughters sports teams. Place resides in Lincolnville.
