Camden Snow Bowl race team competes at Kents Hill

KENTS HILL — The Camden Snow Bowl boys won the first meet of the season at Kents Hill. The memorial race was the Marlee Johnston Slalom.
On a day that started out at minus 15 degrees Fahrenheit on the hill, the boys team brought some fire. Aiden Roberts, of Hope Elementary, won the race with the fastest first- and second-run times. Teammate Michael Frampton, of Ashwood-Waldorf School, one of the youngest competitors, placed third with two very technically sound runs.
Rounding out the team, Aidan Manahan, Great Salt Bay, placed fifth, and Caellen Roberts, also of Hope, was in seventh for a total team score of 16 points. Other team scores were Oxford Hills 54, Auburn 60, Maranacook 65, Spruce Mountain 80, Telstar (no score), and Sugarloaf Area Ski Team (no score).
