CAMDEN — The Camden Opera House has introduced a no-fee ticketing policy this summer.

In the past, patrons have had the option of buying advance tickets in-person at the Town Office in order to avoid the typical add-on fees for credit cards. But now, Camden Opera House’s ticketing is no-fee across the board. The policy applies to both online and in-person purchases, in advance and at the show-day box office.

“Handling fees are a completely legitimate way to cover one’s expenses, but we want to make it as easy as possible for folks to come enjoy an event at the Camden Opera House,” said Opera House Manager Dave Morrison, in a news release. “We decided to use some of the proceeds from the Community Arts Fund to offer a lower-priced ticket.”
