Camden library 'Art in the Stacks' fundraiser features 30 artists
The Camden Public Library announces Art in the Stacks, a new summer fundraiser based on Camden on Canvas with a fresh look and feel. Art in the Stacks is a silent auction, held from July 20 to August 3, with bidding taking place entirely online. During the two-week auction, the artwork of some 30 well-known local artists will be on-display in the library.
The featured artwork is diverse in medium and subject, ranging from vibrant paintings to striking sculptures.
The fundraiser culminates with a small reception in the Library's historic Reading Room on Sunday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 6 p.m., to celebrate the library and the arts. With online-only bidding closing at 6 p.m. that day, bidders need not be present, though all are welcome to attend.
Participating artists include Greta Van Campen, Meghan Brady, Björn Runquist, Dominique Ostuni, Colin Page, Ken DeWaard, Peter Ralson, and many more area favorites. These artists will reflect a medley of styles, extending beyond Camden on Canvas’ plein-air-painting theme.
Art in the Stacks will also showcase smaller pieces of art, ideal for a wide variety art lovers wherever they are, here at home or from afar.
Art in the Stacks is designed as a revolving, complementary event to Camden on Canvas, the library’s plein-air-painting weekend, set to return in Summer 2026.
The Library would like to give special thanks to Lead Sponsor Ken Gardiner, Edward Jones Investments – Camden and Colin Page of Page Gallery for the exceptional support. Support also provided by Once A Tree and Small Wonder Gallery & Frameshop.
