Camden Hills hockey team wins sportsmanship award

LEWISTON — The Camden Hills Regional High School hockey team March 8 was presented the Maine Principal’s Association Good Sportsmanship banner for the 2013-14 season. The presentation was made during an on-ice ceremony at the State Championship game March 8, at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston.
The Sportsmanship Award is voted on by MPA teams in their respective leagues. Each school gets a vote at the end of the season, voting for opponents that display good sportsmanship in their sport.
This is the second consecutive, and the third time in the past six seasons that the CHRHS hockey team has been awarded the Good Sportsmanship banner.
• 2009 (2008-09 season)
• 2013 (2012-13 season
• 2014 (2013-14 season)
“It is always nice to be recognized by your counterparts and opponents that they respect the way you play the game,” said Camden Hills coach Karl Enroth. “It shows we can play a fast and aggressive style of hockey the right way.”
