Camden Hills finishes 11th in cross country regional championship

BELFAST — The Camden Hills girls cross country team made the journey from Rockport to Belfast’s Troy Howard Middle School Saturday, Nov. 11 for the New England Cross Country Championships, a regional championship featuring teams from Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Connecticut. 

As the Class A state champions, the Windjammers automatically qualified for the meet and were able to enter seven runners into the female division that included 267 runners. 

As a team, the Windjammers finished 11th in the competition, which was the best team finish for a Maine school. The Windjammers finished with a total time of 1:39:26.87 for an average of 19:53.58.
