FARMINGTON — The Camden Hills alpine ski team competed in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference championship on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Titcomb Mountain in Farmington.

The girls Windjammer alpine ski team finished fifth with 79 points while the boys finished fourth with 82 points.

“Late turns were saved only by phenomenally quick footwork to literally hurtle around the next gate,” said Camden Hills coach Berry King. “It was amazing to watch. My heart was in my throat watching several of our skiers. But they pulled it off.”

King noted Isabelle Manahan of Lincoln Academy has been training and traveling with the Windjammers and finished in 12th overall in the girls division.
