BELFAST — Cold Comfort Theater in Belfast is holding auditions for its 2nd Annual Festival of Short Plays to be produced on May 24 and 25, at 7 p.m., at the UMaine Hutchinson Center.

Eight never-before-produced plays by emerging playwrights will require adult actors of all backgrounds and ages.

Auditions for the series of staged readings will take place Monday, April 1, at 6 p.m., at the First Baptist Church, at 96 High St. in Belfast. 

Actors will not be asked to memorize the scripts and new actors are welcome.
