Artist Linda Shepard exhibits ‘Animal Alchemy’

    WASHINGTON — Gibbs Library, in Washington Village, will feature the work of Union therapist Linda Shepard, from Thursday, July 11, through Tuesday, September 3.

    The show is entitled “Animal Alchemy.” 

    Shepard presents a collection of interpretive and colorful creatures on fabric created with the intent to celebrate the ordinary, sometimes with humor, whimsy, reverence, or with an eye toward the dream world. Her hope is to create a textural and visual pleasure, according to Gibbs Library, in a news release.

    The Gibbs Library is located at 40 Old Union Road, in Washington Village, and is open on Monday, 4 to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, 9 to noon and 4 to 7 p.m.; Thursday, 3 to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m.
