Appleton girls basketball narrowly defeats Lincolnville
APPLETON — The Lincolnville and Appleton middle school girls basketball teams met on the hardwood Monday, Jan. 6 in Appleton for a Busline League showdown.
Appleton held an 11-10 lead after the opening quarter before Lincolnville snatched 22-20 and 36-33 leads after the second and third quarters, respectively.
After the final quarter of play, the host Wildcats edged the visiting Lynx 48-46.
Scoring for Lincolnville were Jaden Johnson (15 points), Roo Boetsch (12), Natalie Bolduc (nine), Grace Moody (six) and Angel Haynes (four).
Scoring for Appleton were Izzy Debroski (17 points), Brenna Odone (16), Josie Pendleton (11), Zoe Davis (four) and Cordelia Williams (two).
The next game for Lincolnville will be Wednesday, Jan. 8 at home against Troy Howard.
It is unclear when the next game for Appleton will be.
