CAMDEN – The Camden Snow Bowl held its 38th annual Megunticook Lake Race Sunday with just 20 boats and 30 paddlers.
The numbers may be down, but the day was perfect for a good race with mostly sunny skies and nice summer like temperatures for a change.
The race starts at Barrett's Cove Beach and ends at Norton Pond.
The numbers this season were exactly the same as last season when there were also 20 boats and 30 paddlers. In 2011 there were 27 boats. This years race was held a month earlier then the previous two years.
Sunday morning the water was calm with very little wind and not many motor boats on the lake making the Kayaks, canoes and paddle boarders happy.
