THOMASTON — The Thomaston 4th of July Committee announce Mr. and Ms. 4th of July 2019.

Anthony Radzimirski and Morgan Lindsey are both graduated seniors from Oceanside High School, and were chosen by the faculty based on their grades, activities, leadership, community involvement, and positive outlook.

Morgan Lindsey, of Cushing, is the daughter of Dale and Paula Lindsey. Her high school activities included being an active member of both the National Honor Society and Trekkers.

Morgan graduated Cum Laude from Oceanside, and plans to attend the University of New England in the fall.

Anthony Radzimirski, of Thomaston, is the son of Dawn Sequin and Greg Radzimirski.

Graduating Magna Cum laude, Anthony was awarded the school’s MPA principals award for 2019. Anthony was a member of National Honor Society and graduated with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) endorsement.

An enthusiastic thespian, Anthony acted in four Oceanside productions, including A Play With Words, which resulted in both a first place award for the school in the one act play competition, and an individual award for Anthony’s part in the play.

For the last six years Anthony participated in Trekkers, becoming a student leader for the last two years. An internship at PBMC in the pharmaceutical department during high school led to Anthony’s decision to attend Husson College this fall as a pharmacy major.

Ms. Lindsey and Mr. Radzimirski will be riding in the 2019 Thomaston 4th of July parade, which starts at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 4.  The parade will travel from North to South on Main Street in Thomaston, beginning at Erin Street and ending on Booker Street.

The parade will be followed by a full day of activities in Thomaston, including a road race, craft tent, chicken barbeque, music, free bouncy houses, a horseshoe tournament, food vendors, and the traditional fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.  Rain/fog date for the fireworks is July 5.
