On Saturday, June 27th, Megunticook Rowing will welcome new and former rowers to the Boat Forest to experience rowing whether they last rowed a few years ago or a few decades ago or never.
It promises to be fun, flexible, and low-pressure morning. “We invite anyone who has ever rowed or has ever wanted to row to join us,” said organizers from Megunticook Rowing. “Whether you rowed in high school, college, as a masters athlete, or have never set foot in a shell —this is your opportunity to come back to the sport you loved.”
Former rowers are encouraged to return regardless of experience level, fitness or time away. Life changes—moving, careers, or time constraints—may have pulled people away from rowing, but this event offers a welcoming path back. Bring a friend, bring your kids, ages 11-100 are welcome.
Take a short, casual land session on ergs, and on-water session on our new Currier Training Barge(TM) The Lynx. Or hop in a quad with our coaching staff and Masters rowers.
Members of Megunticook Rowing and a full complement of coaches will be on hand.
