The Midcoast Babe Ruth League is hosting the District 2 Babe Ruth tournament in Thomaston this weekend.

The Midcoast 15-year-old All-Stars are managed by Chris Perry from the Damariscotta Lions, with Tom Greenleaf from the Damariscotta Lions and Matthew Shields from Georges Valley serving as coaches.

The team's players Michael Dougherty and Maguire LeBlanc from Georges Valley, Max Lewis from Swan Lake Grocery, Ionut Lodge from Rockport, Corbin Daniels and Wyatt Fillmore from Union Farm Equipment, Brent Stewart from Waldoboro and Bradley Cross, Gus Hunt, Basil White, Chris Sullivan, Andrew Greenleaf, Quincy Perry, Tiger Cummings and Chase Crockett from the Damariscotta Lions.

The winner of the 15-year-old District 2 tournament advances to the State Championship Tournament beginning Friday, July 15 in Augusta.
