Photographer Jim Hughes, of Camden, spent the last six years shooting his favorite choice for dinner — Cappy’s Restaurant, which was a fixture in downtown Camden for many decades.

For Hughes and his family, it was their weekend destination.

“We met, and made, many friends there in a convivial atmosphere that encouraged conversation with fellow diners — and drinkers,” he said. “Recognizing us first as summer regulars from New York, and more recently as loyal year-round customers, Johanna always made sure we received good service and a discount off her already affordable prices. She and her staff will continue to be missed. I can only hope the spirit of Cappy's will somehow live on in downtown Camden.”
