WALDOBORO — The Medomak Valley wrestling tram has been busy with dual meets as they head toward the finals that are just a short distance away with the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference championships Saturday, Jan. 30 at Cony High School.

Medomak is currently at 12-13 on the season in dual meets. Saturday, Jan. 16 they hosted a meet where they wrestled Winslow and Mt. Ararat, falling to both. Winslow took the first matchup 42-36 and Mt. Ararat beat the Panthers by the same score 42-36.

Individual results, with Medomak wrestlers listed first, were:
113 pounds — Will Perry (19-12, 5 pins) won by forfeits over Winslow and Mt. Ararat.

126 pounds — Rayanne Leach (11-13, 2 pins) won by forfeits over Winslow and Mt. Ararat.

132 pounds — Deagan Poland (15-9, 12 pins) won by pin over Lexi Lint (Winslow) at 0:39; and lost by pin to Jett Gould (MTA) at 1:40.

138 pounds — Steven Thompson (28-5, 19 pins) won by pin over Ely Young (Winslow) at 1:27; and won by pin over Christian Jensen (MTA) at 1:07.

145 pounds — Elias Miller (28-6, 19 pins) won by pin over Tony Park (Winslow) at 1:08; and won by pin over Isaac Ducatt (MTA) at 1:39.

152 pounds — Tim Jerome (16-12, 6 pins) won by pin over Andrew Mattingly (Winslow) at 1:48; and won by forfeit over Mt. Ararat.

160 pounds — Andrew Cronk (8-7, 4 pins) lost by pin to Ben Abbott (Winslow) at 1:12; and lost by pin to Matt Ducatt (MTA) at 1:30.

182 pounds — Amos Hinkley (12-11, 7 pins) lost by pin to Ryan Fredette (Winslow) at 3:06; and lost by pin to John Heatherman (MTA) at 0:47.

195 pounds — Logan Wright (11-15, 4 pins) lost by pin to Patrick Hopkins (Winslow) at 2:50; and won by pin over Evan Smith (MTA) at 0:55.

220 pounds — Noah Munn (7-9, 2 pins) lost by pin to Devin Bracin (Winslow) at 1:30; and lost by pin to Dylan Schenk (MTA) at 0:31.

On Jan. 13 the Panthers matched up against Gardiner and host Mt. Blue where they nipped Gardiner 30-28, but fell to Mt. Blue 39-36.

138 pounds — Steven Thompson (26-5, 17 pins) won by pin over Cameron Bell (Gardiner) at 3:15; and won by pin over Rayn Larkin (Mt. Blue) at: 51.

145 pounds — Elias Miller (26-6, 17 pins) won by pin over Kassidy Thang (Gardiner) at 0:50; and won by pin over Terry Storer (Mt. Blue) at 2:29.

152 pounds — Tim Jerome (14-12, 5 pins) won by pin over Ben Calloway (Gardiner) at 2:38; and lost 12-5 to Hayden Nile (Mt. Blue).

160 pounds — Jared Overlock (4-5, 2 pins) lost 11-0 to Isaiah Swan (Gardiner); won by injury default over Katianne McLaughlin (Mt. Blue).

182 pounds — Amos Hinkley (12-9, 7 pins) won by forfeit over Gardiner and won by pin over Amber Dunham (Mt. Blue) at 0:37.

285 pounds — Noah Munn (7-7, 2 pins) lost by pin to Alex Thang (Gardiner) at 1:28; and won by forfeit over Mt. Blue.
