Camden Hills boosters hold men's and women's alumni games
























































ROCKPORT – The Camden Hills gym was the place to be Friday night as the Camden Hills Basketball Boosters Club held the first annual Alumni versus Alumni game at the school.
The days of the varsity squads playing the alumni, a staple of the pre-season for many years in basketball that seldom if ever happens anymore due to the Maine Principles Association rule on number of scrimmage games each team has. Coaches feel like they cannot afford to use ups play day on a fun game.
So the next best thing and lots of fun for players as well as the fans is the alumni versus alumni games and this one did not disappoint. Both the mens and women's teams had quality players from as far back as the graduating class of 1982 with Jeff Hall and current athletic director Steve Alex.
While the men just coached themselves, the women had Cheryl Beveridge as one coach facing off against former head coach Sue Wootton.
Players for the Women were, White team coached by Beveridge, Toni Lynn Hansen (Robbins) 01'; Morgan Hart 04'; Sam Wiley 05'; Kelsey Butler 06'; Marina French 12'; and Sarah Steele 12'. The red team coached by Wootton were, Joanna Hall 84'; Kim Carr Kuhn 86'; Tina Mitchell Wallace 86'; Kristi Hardy-Gilson 85'; Nicki Hanley Bland90'; April Pease Berry 94'; Megan Cressler 00'; and Ali Parent 08'.
Officials for the girls game were Clint Beverage and Grant Lippman.
Members of the men's white team were, Joel Gabriele 10'; Zach Wincklhoffer 10'; Jon Moro 99'; Casey Scott 10'; Cameron Gartley 10'; Taylor Hall 12'; Nick White 10'; Daniel Hart 09'; and Beveridge, 97'. The men's red team was, Max Niles, 11'; Hall 82'; Ted Graffam 85'; Troy Gabriele 02'; Paul Hopkins 02'; Jared Mitchell 07'; Andrew Rogers 05'; Alex 82'; Kyle Olehnik 12'; Lippman 02'; and Chris Brown 12'.
Officials for the men's games were Steve Beveridge and David Ames.
All the proceeds went to the Boosters club to help the basketball program at the school.
