CAMDEN — Coastal Mountains Land Trust will hold two trail maintenance and construction workshops in honor of National Trails Day.

Land Trust Stewardship staff and volunteers will lead the first workshop on “Basics of Trail Maintenance” Saturday, June 6, National Trails Day, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bald Mountain Preserve in Camden. Participants should meet at the new Bald Mountain Trailhead and parking area, on the left side of Barnestown Road just beyond the crest of the hill and Gillette Road.

The second workshop, entitled “Basics of Trail Creation and Construction,” will be Tuesday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Ragged Mountain Preserve in Camden. Participants are asked to RSVP, as the meeting location, the Camden Snow Bowl parking area, is subject to change.

Each of these workshops is designed to train people interested in participating in area trail maintenance and development efforts.
