Maine Drama Festival this weekend

    ROCKLAND — The annual Maine Drama Festival is this weekend (March 6-7). Results should be sent out by noon on Sunday, March 8.

    This information and more is available on the Maine Drama Council website www.mainedramacouncil.com.

    In the upcoming weeks, more than 2500 Maine high school students from 78 high schools will compete in the 84th annual Maine Drama Festival. The annual event is sponsored by the Maine Principals' Association and the Maine Drama Council.

    March 6-7, at nine regional competitions around the State, schools will present plays ranging from the classics to original student-written plays. Winners from each regional will be selected by a panel of judges to advance to the State Finals on March 20-21.

    A list of Regional winners should be posted on the MDC website, Sunday, March 8.

    Below are the performance schedules for each of the nine regional festivals this weekend (March 6-7). Note start times vary at each site, and latecomers will not be admitted once a performance has started.
