Leadership training class for Generation Y
ROCKPORT — Leadership Principles is an online class especially for Generation Y (born 1980-1999). It serves as the first of three in a series addressing the development of Generation Y leadership.
Find out what it takes to become an effective leader. Discover leadership styles. Discuss task completion, building relationships with subordinates, becoming socially perceptive to changes in the workplace, utilizing personal emotions in a positive and effective manner, and addressing challenging goals.
Leadership Principles is sponsored by Five Town CSD Adult and Community Education and is taught by Constance Yates, who serves as facilitator of Business Administration for multiple colleges and universities across the United States.
One of the key concepts of this course is to focus on good leadership and how to improve on leadership skills.
Assessment tools will help develop the skills necessary for the workplace. Yates said in a news release, “It is very critical for excellent leadership. Applying the knowledge skills and abilities in the workplace is another thing and that’s what we are going to focus on.”
Leadership Skills offers the opportunity to perform a case study analysis of workplace conflicts that require effective leadership, allowing students to apply unique leadership characteristics revealed through completing the class.
