Casco Bay skates past MCSA Storm Bantam Tier III team

ROCKPORT — The Storm Bantam Tier III travel team hosted Casco Bay Sunday in a hard hitting, aggressive game that saw Casco Bay come from behind to take a 4-2 win over the Storm.
The game had a total of 16 penalties called, eight for each team, with The Storm getting 16:30 in the penalty book while Casco was short-handed for 12 minutes. There was a lot of checking on the boards, and in the open ice during the game, that sent bodies flying.
The Storm took a 2-1 lead in the first period, but allowed three goals to Casco in the second period that gave them the 4-2 lead heading into the final period, where both teams were held scoreless.
Scoring for The Storm were Cameron Christie at 8:22 in the first period, with an assist from Bryce Tyler and Eliza Roy. Thomas Griebel scored the second goal of the period at 4:15 with Roy picking up her second assist.
For Casco, Jameson Bakke had two goals while Peter Lattanzi had two goals and an assist. Jackson Willson had two assists for the winners.
R.J. Botley was in goal for The Storm and did an outstanding job. One of the goals came when his own teammate got too far into the crease; therefore, pinning Botley to the post unable to move. In the third period, Botley had some nice saves to keep his team in the game.
Goalie Kyle Labbe got the win for Casco by playing exceptionally well after giving up two goals in the first period.
With the loss, the Bantam Storm go to 3-1-1 on the season and will play again Sunday, Nov. 30 at the Biddeford Ice Arena.
