The Rockport Public Library will host an Edible Minecraft Festival on Saturday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m. Families are invited to compete in a Minecraft-themed bake-off. Participants should create their edible desserts at home, and bring them to the library for judging on the day of the event. Entries can be a shape, a prop, a character, or a build from the game.

Guest judges Vicki Murray of LAUGH loud, SMILE big, and teachers Jessie Odgren and Jim Morse of Camden-Rockport Middle School, will present awards for creativity, taste, and (this is a technical term) Minecraftiness. Costumes are encouraged. The public will be able to sample the dessert entries once judging is complete.

Family bakers must register to participate, limited to 10 families. Please call the library at 236-3642 to register. The public does not have to register for this event. More information at rockportlibrary.net.
