Happy Wanderers to hike Appleton Preserve, April 3
APPLETON — Join Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Maine Health’s Community Health program for a Happy Wanderers Hike, Thursday, April 3, at 10 a.m., at Appleton Preserve. This trail is owned and cared for by Georges River Land Trust.
This hike is about 2 miles out-and-back along a path with some roots and unlevel ground. The trail provides beautiful views of the St. George River.

Directions: From the intersection of Routes 131 and 105 in Appleton, go east on Route 105 for ½ mile. Parking is available at the ME Inland Fisheries & Wildlife gravel lot on the right, just before the bridge across the Georges River. Please do not park in the Blue Crow Studio driveway or use it as a turnaround.

Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13,000 acres, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
Community Health programming is offered by PenBay Medical Center’s Community Health Improvement Team and is focused on preventing and reducing chronic disease and promoting the adoption of healthy lifestyles.
