Rockland Public Library Annual Plant Sale returns, seeks donations, volunteers
ROCKLAND — Friends of Rockland Public Library will hold its Annual Plant and Bake Sale, Saturday, June 14. Friends is looking for volunteers to help with digging, dividing, watering, and assisting on the day of sale. Please email friendsofrocklandpubliclibrary@gmail.com if you would like to be a part of the event.
Friends will soon be accepting plant donations for the sale. A dedicated group of volunteers will be available to collect, divide, and repot your perennials.
"The best time to start dividing is early spring, as the ground warms and plants start popping up," said Friends, in a news release. "All types of perennial plants, great and small, are welcome. Just send us an email if you would like to schedule a time for our volunteers to attend to your plants.
"Have a stack of pots in the cellar? Too many rakes? Too many gardening guides? Think of Friends of Rockland Public Library when you do your spring cleaning. The June Plant Sale also will include a gardening and cookbook sale, a gardening equipment sale, and our popular bake sale. Let us know if you would like to contribute books or equipment."
All proceeds will benefit the Rockland Public Library.
