SEARSPORT — On Friday, October 4, 2024, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., a Maine U2 tribute band, Slane, will perform live at Hey Sailor! in Searsport. This concert is a special homecoming for two of the band’s members, Terry Patterson and Barry Dodd, who grew up one city over, in Belfast. The show will mark the first time the duo has performed together back home since their high school days.

"Slane is known for delivering a near perfect sound that U2 fans expect from a live concert experience, performing iconic songs such as 'Where the Streets Have No Name' and 'Sunday Bloody Sunday,'" said Barry Dodd, in a news release. "With a deep passion for U2's music and an energetic stage presence, Slane captivates audiences, offering an evening of timeless rock for everyone to sing along to."

"This show is something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time," said Terry Patterson, reflecting on their return to the Belfast-Searsport area. "It’s a dream to play in front of the community that raised us."
