Knox County Benchwarmers win Waldoboro Coed Softball championship


The 2013 Waldoboro Coed Softball season is in the books. No. 1 seed Knox County Benchwarmers knocked off perennial powerhouse Hervochon Construction 7-2 in the championship game held Sunday, Oct. 6, at Medomak Valley High School.
Knox County Benchwarmers had 13 hits: Daphne Ripley, Andy Carter, Ryan McCarthy, Jordan Carter, Lenny Wedge and Heath Smith (1 single each), Jason Yates (single, HR). Sara Cullity (2 singles) Tim Jackson (2 singles, double).
For Hervochon Construction five hits; Dickey McKenney, Jesse Bagley, Justin Drake Kyle Feltis (1 single each), Matt Lash HR.
