VINALHAVEN — Due to being short-staffed, there are new hours for the Vinalhaven Town Office. 

The office will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. 

The staff of the town office, located at 19 Washington School Road, will spend Tuesday and Friday afternoons focused on reporting. The office may appear open Tuesday and Friday afternoons, but it is closed for service to the public and no phone calls will be taken. The office asks the public to use the outside drop box during these hours, and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
