Carver Memorial Library to host silent auction for landscape fund

SEARSPORT — The Carver Memorial Library, at 12 Union Street, will host a silent auction fundraiser through December 15 at 4:45 p.m.. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the library’s landscape fund. The library plans to begin a landscaping and grounds beautification project this spring. Those interested can bid during library hours on festive baskets with various themes. Bids can be placed in person or by phone. The contents of each basket can be viewed on the library’s website.
The library is open from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and has extended hours on Tuesdays until 6 p.m. On Saturdays, they are open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Masks are required on the premises, and curbside service is available if needed. For more information, call the library at 548-2303.
