Timothy Robert Woodbury passed away peacefully on December 4, 2020 due to complications of Alzheimer's disease.
He was the son of Francis and Norma Roberts Woodbury and was born on May 12, 1954 in Bangor, Maine.
Tim grew up on a family dairy farm in Morrill, Maine. He attended Belfast Area High School where he played basketball and baseball. He was known as "Buddha” by his basketball fans. He also played college basketball at the University of Maine at Bangor.
He later worked as a prison guard at the Maine State Prison in Warren. He was a guard for 20 plus years and was a member of the law enforcement motorcycle club, the Blue Knights. After retiring from the prison he worked with apartment rentals.
He loved riding his motorcycle and often went on tours with some of his buddies to such places as Fort Lauderdale, San Antonio, Pike's Peak, Las Vegas, and Niagara Falls. He may have enjoyed a little bit of poker throughout his life. He also enjoyed a couple of trips to Alaska with Laura.
His parents and his brother Michael Woodbury predeceased him.
Tim is survived by his partner, Laura Jackson; brother Patrick and wife Trish; sister in law, Debbie Woodbury; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.
Those who wish to make donations in Tim’s memory may donate to the Alzheimer's Assn. of Maine.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at Morrill Village Cemetery. A celebration of life will be announced when restrictions allow.
