ROCKLAND — Do you need help signing up for health insurance? The Knox Clinic is now a designated organization for the ACA Insurance Marketplace. The Clinic’s Certified Assister, Lisa Mele, is available for free phone appointments to assist you with enrolling or re-enrolling in an insurance plan for 2021.

Call to schedule your appointment today, the marketplace closes on December 15, and Mele’s time slots will fill up quickly, according to the Clinic, in a news release.

The insurance marketplace offers tax credits to many individuals and families in Maine to make health insurance affordable.

“Even if you have not been eligible in the past, call Lisa to see what your status is this year,” said the Clinic.

Mele’s office hours Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call 207-301-6994 for a free phone appointment. The Knox Clinic location is not welcoming walk-ins due to Covid precautions.

Mele has been a certified assister since 2013. She will help you identify your healthcare needs and match plans for you to choose from out of the Qualified Health Plans offered by the three insurance companies participating in the Maine State facilitated marketplace. Each plan provides coverage that is certified by the Health Insurance Marketplace, and meets ACA requirements, such as coverage of essential health benefits.
