Boetsch, Mooers, Mercier honored by GNAC for academics
WINTHROP, Mass. — An impressive, and record-setting, 1,148 Great Northeast Athletic Conference student-athletes achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher this academic year, earning selection to the 2019-20 GNAC Academic All-Conference Team.
In order to be eligible for academic all-conference, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA and have reached/completed second-year academic status.
This year’s total is 118 more than the 2018-19 squad and the most-ever in the conference’s history, according to a news release.
This marks the third straight year more than 1,000 GNAC student-athletes have garnered selection.
Three student-athletes selected to the list are natives of the Midcoast area, and are recognized below.
Men’s Soccer: Lucas Boetsch of Rockport and Colby-Sawyer College
Men’s Golf: Jacson Mooers of Lincolnville and Emmanuel College
Men’s Soccer and Men’s Lacrosse: Morgan Mercier of Lincolnville and Emmanuel College
