Rockland Public Library will begin offering curbside pick-up service (or Library-to-Go) on Monday, June 1.

    Curbside pick-up will be available: Monday- Friday: 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

At this time, Rockland Public Library cardholders will be able to request items from Rockland’s collection only. Cardholders from other Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program libraries may not use this service, as the Maine Reciprocal Borrowing Program or “walk-in” borrowing has been paused by the Maine State Library until further notice.

Requests may be made by calling 594-0310, through Minerva (https://minerva.maine.edu/search~S30) using your library card, or by emailing refdesk@rocklandmaine.gov. The Library asks that you do not use Facebook messenger at this time for item requests.

Patrons may request up to 10 items, up to five of which may be DVDs; these will be checked out for a loan period of two weeks and may be renewed if no one else is waiting for the title. Borrowers may begin placing holds on Rockland items on Saturday, May 30.

Library staff anticipate up to a 24 hour turn-around time (next business day), and will provide more information about safe, secure, no-contact pick-up when borrowers are notified their requests are ready. Returns must be made to the outside book drops. The Library cannot take items back via curbside. Donations are not accepted at this time.
